Greetings! I have a problem with my side-by-side Kenmore 106.56926600. Its drain pan overflows on a daily basis caused by frequent water discharge through the drain hose. Its frame, where the doors seal against fridge, feels very hot to the touch. Seems also that the ?compressor? runs excessively. Since unfortunately we have no Sears repairmen down here in Brazil, I'll have to diagnose and fix this problem with help. My guess is that the issue lies in the temperature control somewhere (constant running of ?compressor?) causing excessive ice-buildup and consequent defrosting, or some sort of defrost timer problem, if this is how the defrost frequency is controlled, but I would think this wouldn't cause frame to be hot. Any ideas where I can start? Thank you!

Its either your condenser fan blade is stuck or the condenser fan motor is bad.
Pull your refrigerator out from the wall, then take off your lower back access panel, then you will see your condenser fan motor and fan blade next to your compressor, that should be turning and blowing air, thats why its getting so hot in between your doors.
If nothing is stuck in your condenser fan blade, but its not turning, then you will need a new condenser fan motor. Check that it has power. Also make sure your condenser coils underneath your refrigerator are clean.
Take the bottom grill off in the front, next to the floor, it just snaps off, pull hard. Open both refrigerator and freezer doors first. Then get a flashlight and look at the condenser coils and if there clogged with pet hair/lint/dirt clean them, use a vacuum then blowing them out with compressed air or air compressor.

Thanks applianceman - sure enough: fan is out. Got voltage going to it (115V), but no rotation. I'll have to get a replacement.
